Myers, Jeffrey and Susan
Biography
Jeffrey and Susan Myers are missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene assigned to Kudjip, Papua New Guinea.
Jeffrey graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 1987 with a B.A. in communications. He has been working with radio ministry since their arrival in PNG. As of December 30, 2002, the first-ever radio program produced by the Church of the Nazarene, Kirapim Gutpela Sindaun, began airing on Radio Light, an FM radio station in Port Moresby, the capitol of PNG. A women’s program, Krai Bilong Ol Meri, began airing in 2004 and a children’s program called Krais i Laikim Olgeta Pikinini began airing August 1st, 2008! Nazarene programming can be heard on eleven radio stations throughout PNG! Jeffrey enjoys working in this area of ministry and is also serving as Field Communications Coordinator.
Susan graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 1989 with a B.A. in biology. She received her M.D. from The Medical College of Ohio at Toledo in 1993 and completed a pediatric residency at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron in 1996. Susan’s current responsibilities at Nazarene Hospital in Kudjip include caring for patients on the pediatric ward, in the outpatient department and the emergency room. She has also been enjoying the opportunity to work closely with the cervical cancer screening program which began in 2002.
Jeffrey and Susan have two children, Jessica and Ethan. Jessica is an avid reader and Ethan is a very energetic boy and loves to do what boys do best, have fun!
