Silvernail, Geneva
Biography
Geneva Silvernail is a global assignment missionary with the Church of the Nazarene. She was born in Tellico Plains, Tennessee. Under the guidance of pastors and wives of the Loudon Church of the Nazarene, East Tennessee District, Geneva responded to the call to be a missionary when she was six years of age.Geneva received a bachelor of science degree from Western Michigan University and a master of arts degree from Olivet Nazarene University. She has done postgraduate studies at Guam University and Southern Nazarene University. She holds a doctor of religious education from Covington Theological Seminary and a doctor of education in leadership and professional practices from Trevecca Nazarene University. She was ordained as an Elder on the Michigan District and is a frequent preacher and speaker in worship services, seminars, and workshops.
Geneva has served as an educational volunteer/tent missionary in Guam, Dominican Republic, and St. Croix, Virgin Islands. As a global missionary, she has served as faculty/administrator in Nazarene colleges in Swaziland and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Geneva served as the academic dean of Caribbean Nazarene College in Trinidad. She also served as General NMI Convention coordinator in 2005.
Most recently, Geneva has served as regional literature coordinator and education consultant on the Asia-Pacific region. She is an adjunct faculty member at APNTS (Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary).
Geneva is a mother of three and grandmother of six.
