Biography

Phil and Martha Patalano are global missionaries. They were sent to Beira, Mozambique in May 2000, for seven months, to study the Portuguese Language. They arrived in Luanda, Angola just before Christmas 2000 and worked there until December 2007. They were then moved to Sao Tome & Principe where they are currently serving.

Phil graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree (majors: Religion and Psychology). He then graduated from Nazarene Theological Seminary with the Master of Divinity (with Missionary Emphasis). Prior to his missionary appointment, he served as served as Senior Pastor in Scotland, Associate Pastor in Connecticut, Senior Pastor in Colorado, Bermuda, and California.

Martha graduated from Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She received an Associate of Biblical Studies degree followed by a Bachelor of Christian Education degree. Prior to their missionary appointment, she served as Sunday School Superintendent in California, Co-Pastor in Colorado, Sunday School Superintendent in Bermuda and Co-Pastor in California.

Phil and Martha are called to build up the Kingdom of God in cross-cultural settings. In each area they have served, they have worked to form or strengthen the Church on the local and district levels. In Luanda, Angola, they have prepared Pastors for Ordination and have worked towards developing local district leadership so they could qualify as a phase two district. They are working towards the same goals in Sao Tome & Principe.
